Recently, I stumbled over a book called, The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino.The book outlined the most important principals of being great at anything. The book was filled with tons of amazing quotes and inspiration. One of the principals that stood out in this book, was Act Now. It resonated so much with me, that I decided to write a post about how YOU can Act Now.
“Success will not wait. If I delay she will become betrothed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the man. I will act now.
Act Now
So what does this mean for you? It means that the idea that’s been running frantically through your mind, the concept that you’ve been craving to make real, and the small voice inside your head saying, “I wonder if…”, needs to become something real. Whether it be the photography business you’ve thought about creating, the charity you’ve wanted to bring awareness to, or the current business you want to take to the next level, whatever it may be… it’s time to act.
Create Moving Parts
Sometimes, you just need to see moving parts. Sometimes, the one thing that kindles that fire is something small. Maybe start with your logo? Get a logo that represents the passion that you have and start using it. Then maybe start looking at business cards. Designing creative, fun, professional business cards can go a long way. Make them unique. Passing around cards with your brand on them also helps reinforce that you’re one step closer to your goal. Perhaps once you’ve begun to see this idea grow, you can start thinking about a website. One of the major staples to an established company is to have a website to send to your friends, colleagues and possible clients to. It also means that you’re starting to take your idea seriously.
