My role at Thirty-One Gifts has evolved since day one. I worked with a small team to help oversee their transition from a proprietary CMS to using an enterprise CMS like Episerver. The transition was especially tricky being that Episerver is being used as a headless CMS inside of their own system. We also introduced Spanish translation to our customers, so we did a lot of work using the “Languages” gadget. But it provided me a chance to continue doing my standard, every day HTML, JS, CSS front-end stuff but now combined with some back-end languages in C#, MVC and the .Net framework. I don’t claim to be an expert…yet. But it’s definitely opened more doors for me to explore more of the back-end stack.

Primary role in C# and Episerver

Build scalable and reusable modules that could be used anywhere on the site. This empowered our other business partners to make faster changes to the site. Whereas in the past, custom HTML would have to be written for each change.
